Yellow Mellow

Because I live in the North, the weather here is always rainy and gloomy its quite annoying from time to time. You go out without an umbrella and then suddenly it starts raining!

 Switching out of my Sigerson Morrison Rain shoes....those shoes are life savers.

 I wore this Vintage yellow trench coat that I got almost 4 years ago while I in undergrad.Shoes- Primark, Earrings & Scarf- Vintage.

Rounding Up

I am rounding up my dissertation! Thanks to everyone for the comments and good luck wishes they were kindly appreciated. This weekend along with rounding up my dissertation/thesis, a friend of mine and I decided why not move into together to save money. Thank God I got a two room flat when I was searching for living space. So, I am going to convert my smaller room that I used to have as my office into Q's room. Making a flat into a home takes time and patience, my room is finally nearly complete almost 8 months after moving in. Just goes to show the process to decorating never really ends...

To get Ideas for Q's room I rummaged through the internet mainly (desiretoinspire.net) and fell in love with these photos of various rooms.

 This definitely my favorite room!!

When we're done I'll do a post. After we complete the rooms we're going to move onto the living room! This shall be a fulfilling project! For Q's Room I am thinking of painting a wall blue or purple, then using green or blue sheets and duvet covers, and making Ankara (African Print) inspired pillow cases; finishing with mirrors on the walls...  I must admit though, my bedroom is my favorite spot of the flat! *smile*

Sunday Review

 

After Mass today I decided to get into to completing my dissertation. I am in dire need to finish it, so when I got home I didn't even change just went straight to the sofa to start reviewing what i have done so far....I am closer to completing it Thank God. I've got three days left! So I got this!!!

Time is Money

 With the New Year I got a new hair style. I needed a break from my afro, British winters can be harsh and I do not want my hair to break. Thus, I will keep up the moisturizing and washing regimes to ensure growth. 2011 is the year of growth (pun intended)! Anyway I have exams right now, 'Time is Money' so the fact that I am posting is amazing and shows just much I love you all! I wore this while studying. Well gotta run one more massive exam on Thursday and I will be one step closer to being done!!! (Screams: 2012 Come now!)

 

Btw Christmas in America with my family and friends was short but amazing it made me realize so many things that I loved about the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia.) (and hated) I love the food, the culture, D.C. Ustreet, Adams's Morgan, Georgetown, Vintage and thrift stores, Thai restaurants and soooo much more! Man I had a terrific time!  I can't wait to return stateside!
